Something new to this blog, As I Am Long & Luxe is a range created for natural hair types 3 & 4. To clarify Type 3 hair is curly, and type 4 is coily. This was an interesting one for the reviewers as most of our regular users have smooth to slightly wavy hair, so after much deliberation the products, of which there are three were given to a new reviewer who has a blend of both types and who is currently trying to grow her hair. Here’s what Susie had to say:
“First of all, I want to say thanks for letting me join the reviewers team, I was really excited, but even more so when Emil told me the products I would be trying are specifically for my hair type and are designed to help strengthen my hair which is great as I am currently trying to grow it. Normally when I do this it becomes very bitty on the ends and seems to get stuck just about chin length. I have never had long hair before so I am keen to see what happens here. I will take a photographic record and share them when the difference is noticeable. Like most people with curly hair the change seems to take forever.
I did my research and discovered that the three products, Long & Luxe Strengthening Shampoo, Long & Luxe Conditioner and the Long & Luxe Scalp Serum look after hair and scalp which was interesting to note.

I’ve been using the products for about 6 weeks now and i’m finding that the ingredients; pomegranate, passion fruit, aloe vera, lupine protein and biotin all seem to suit my hair typer exceptionally well. The shampoo is luxurious, with a rich foam that really cleanses my hair and scalp leaving it feeling very nourished. the conditioner detangles and makes my curls, which can be uneven and frizzy at the best of times feel super smooth, and the serum is refreshing on my scalp.
When I dry my hair, which isn’t very often as it tends to expand too much, I have noticed that the curl definition is greater and the frizziness that usually happens just doesn’t. Have I noticed that my hair is growing longer? It’s too soon to say really, but what I can say is that these products are very good indeed and really suit my hair. As promised I will share photo’s with Emil when the difference can be seen”.
