Feedback & Testimonials: Updated August 2022

“Seriously the best training we ve ever done” was the feedback from all the team after our visit from Emil! We learned loads, it was fun and super informative, Emil knows retailing back to front and has a gift imparting his wealth of knowledge. If you want to take your business to the next level, this is the man to help.

Thank you Emil, the  training day for Beautimport was a huge success. The participants were hanging onto every word you said. The ideas and the enthusiasm you transmit.

Comments like  “ I thought it would be boring but it was so interesting”.
I said, when arranging the event, if I choose a guest he has to be exceptional.
You gave us an injection of ideas, it was an event that was “different but very relevant”.
A big success,
Thank you.

It’s fantastic having Emil on board with us here at Slate Hairdressing! He is a great sounding board and is always on hand to help. Emil  has really increased our social media platform quality, and it takes the pressure from us to have him handle all social media.

We have been working with Emil since 2020, where we have been building our social interaction and presence.
Emil has been fantastic, as when you are busy stylists you don’t have the time to always think what you want to put out, let alone the time to then put it out. So, Emil takes that away from us. He always knows what we would want our clients to know and see. We get so many comments from our clients about how professional our social pages are, and the content being diverse and current too.
It certainly has been one of the best decisions we have made in the salon and we look forward to it getting even better.

We’re delighted Emil has taken over our marketing side of the business.
Designing regular twice weekly blogs and newsletters, he always delivers on time, he’s forward thinking and comes up with great topics, stories & imagery. The blogs and newsletters are always interesting informative and colourful for us and our clients to read.
We have definitely seen a rise in footfall through our salon door with returning clients since doing more marketing.
Emil is a Godsend to our business, with his background and knowledge in hairdressing. He knows actually what we need and our clients want and he delivers.

Which takes the headache away from us.

Emil has been instrumental in growing our social media presence. His understanding of what our followers want to see means the posts are always entertaining and informative.Emil is also involved in the re-writing of some of the Ambition Centre For Training e-learning modules, updating the information and graphics to suit the change in education that we have witnessed over the last few years.

Hi Emil, hope you are well.
It’s been a few weeks since our training together and I’ve taken quite a few classes in that time.
I’ve taken so many things from our time together.
I can read the room much better and identify the different types of learning styles. I feel confident to let the relaxed chat happen naturally but then get back to the task in hand. Shockingly enough every class I’ve taken since has ran ON TIME. ?
The best thing for me though has been that the course lit a fire under my butt and has got me more focused, confident and loving what I do even more than I did before!
Thanks Emil, you’re a star !!

The book has such an energetic feel that you cannot wait to start using the ideas.

What can I say Emil is a gentleman in the Industry. I stumbled upon his book Don’t sell and loved it so much I recommend it to everyone. He is so knowledgeable and his 2020 club is fantastic always spot on with his knowledge of consumers shopping trends and habits.I definitely find Emil a friendly, professional Educator who makes room for everyone.

I am so glad that I met Emil McMahon, it was at a Balmain training session when I first saw him and immediately loved the training, his approach his energy, his vibe and from there I can say that there was a change in my mentality, the way I look at what I love doing , Hairdressing, this also means education . I immediately followed Emil and wanted to know more about him , when I heard that he was writing “Don’t Sell” I was eagerly waiting for its launch and I wanted to make sure that I was one of the very first people to get it. As soon as you get to know the name you immediately notice that the book will be a game changer. The world of retail is a world that I love and I feel the need to embrace it . What Emil did with the book is relate it to hairdressing and compare it with online shopping . I love the attention to detail and I think those who are scared of selling a product it is a must read. Best thing about the book is the more you read it , the more you appreciate it .

I think everyone needs an Emil fix every year… you keep us inspired and never let anything get you down. Glass is always half full for you xx

Donna Marie Carr, Wildes Hairdressing

The book the industry has been waiting for, even if they don’t realise it. Honest, straightforward and practical, Don’t Sell hits at the very challenges facing professional hairdressing Salons today in a concise, inspirational and open manner.

Great tool to use not just for staff training, but also to engender discussion, debate and motivation in the salon.

Every professional hairdresser should make this their bedtime reading. Love it!

Well done Emil!

Paul Reilly Balmain Hair UK
The colours used in the book are perfect, they help tell the story.
I think Don’t Sell is very good, the colours help in many ways without people realising it.
A lot of people do not know how colour can influence you, that’s what I thought so clever in your presentation of the information.
I LOVE IT!
Annie Humphreys

Motivational, inspiring , engaging and delivering information that is so relatable
Is the best way I would describe a training session with Emil

We have had several training sessions over the last few years, I think that sums up how successful Emil’s sessions are.
