Question – Who is driving I N N O V A T I O N in the world of hair? Once upon a time, and not that long ago, it seemed that all new products, new service concepts, new categories in the hairdressing world came from the dominant big boys. Not any more! What we see from these organisations now is a plethora of copycat products that are purely launched to counteract each of the companies competitor products, all designed to knock each other out whilst generating revenue from something that is hardly going to set the world of haircare alight.

Thank goodness for the independents, the companies that are striving to find future success stories for salons, bringing true I N N O V A T I O N to the marketplace with ideas, concepts and (HALLELUJAH) products that genuinely bring a difference to the offerings salons can recommend to their clients.

In a world where consumers are looking for new concepts and goods to purchase for themselves, anything new has to be of interest. Especially when the I N N O V A T I O N brings with it a more caring approach to the environment and (or) a more scientific approach to hair structure and  the rebuilding of it, alongside the every growing demand for scalp related products which are definitely hot news right now.

This week alone I have seen 3 new products that bring genuine I N N O V A T I O N to salons, stylists and their clients. It all feels like something significant is happening in the world of #ProForPro, companies that care about salon professional, salon exclusive products are creating a new vibe that will encourage more frequent salon visits and greater retail opportunities.

Bravo to the companies that are thinking about I N N O V A T I O N and not copycatting other products. You are the future of the salon professional world!
