In a world where there are thousands of haircare brand for consumers to choose from, your salon product ranges need to STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD.  With chemists, supermarkets, department stores (what is left of them) all vying for as much business as they can possibly get, the shelves have become over loaded with brands that they know will be attractive to shoppers. With celebrities launching their own haircare brands, think Beyonce and Rihanna, (which for me makes as much sense as Kylie having her own wine and bedding collection) – and with celebrity hair stylists putting their names to ranges that are readily available online and in store …. your salon needs to have a point of difference for your team to talk about and for your clients to get excited about.

Thank goodness this industry of ours still has companies that are dedicated to salon exclusive ranges that offer high performance, affordable, stylish and desirable products that stylists can recommend using their HAIRDRESSING KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE to their clients, sharing  EXPERT INFORMATION that isn’t available in high street shops or online about brands that really do STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD.

To be a serious retail proposition in todays consumer centric world a salon has to be all encompassing with products that cover as many price points as possible, from entry level to aspirational, and they must be aware of product trends, such as scalp actives, this has been the big one for 2025, magazines and online bloggers involved in the world of hair and beauty are all talking about scalp health, and if a salon doesn’t carry any related products then they (naturally) miss out on potential purchases. Alongside thinking about hair and scalp ranges, adding additional products and accessories to the salon retail offering can also encourages clients to browse and shop with you rather than on the high street or online. Candles, diffusers, skin care, body care, jewellery, health supplements all should be looked at and if they fit the salon vibe, if they make you STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD, that has to be a retail positive!

The more enticing, the more substantial, the more varied your retail offering  is, the more your clients will buy into the realisation that you offer a complete and serious home care package.
