This is a call out to salon owners across the UK. IT’S TIME TO CHANGE!
I can hear you saying, change what? Change the aspects of your business that are holding you back from being something truly unique, individual, bespoke. Change to something that is a true representation of you and your salon identity.
It’s so easy to get stuck in a ‘safe rut’ and stick with the same old products for years and years. Even when those products change beyond recognition or are from a company that takes away the salon exclusivity and professionalism, some salon owners don’t bite the bullet and say to themselves ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
I’ve watched, and commented about the changes happening in our professional world for the last few years and have been fairly vocal about some of the decisions made by product houses that have had adverse and negative effects on salons business. Retail has took a hammering, and now colour is being slowly but surely introduced into mass market channels as those European behemoths chase ever growing profits.
And yet still, salon owners roll over and let the negative changes happen without making a stand for the rights of their professional business.

There are haircare ranges that can make you stand out from the crowd, especially that overcrowded world of ‘salon professional’ products available in chemists. The variety of wet-lines is amazing, from easy to use and recommend entry level products through to stunning aspirational brands that elevate your retail offering for those clients looking for ‘designer’ brands.
Colour – IT’S TIME TO CHANGE – aside from the (worrying) tentative steps being made into the mass market world, the big established brands just seem to be coming a little staid and tired. The world of salon colour is being shook up by young and inventive brands that leave those colour houses way behind as they push forward with real innovations. The question you have to ask yourselves is ….. do you want to fall behind and lose even more of your business to mass market channels, or do you want to make the change that re-energises the salon team and clients?
