Colour Undo™️

Hairdressing friends, we’ve all been there. The client walks through the door with a colour disaster. The challenge to correct the colour is very real and takes a lot of skill to get the hair looking fabulous again. But, occasionally I get to see products that really do make me excited about the future of hairdressing, especially corrective colouring. One of those products came my way recently and, for me, it is a genuine game changer. Colour Undo™️ is a product that could change the way you colour hair forever. Colour Undo™️ works by reversing the colour process.

Having witnessed video evidence in step by step tutorials, all I can say is the effect is incredible, the (previous) oxidised colour is removed creating a perfect canvas for the next colour service. With zero bleach and ammonia the action of the product does not remove any natural hair colour.

As you can see from the before and after images above, the product removes unwanted colour molecules leaving behind healthy hair that can be left as it is or succesfully re-coloured.

The official word is: “When mixed and applied to the hair, Colour Undo™️ can shrink artificial hair colour molecules back to their original size. Once the hair has been rinsed and buffered, the shrunk colour molecules can then be rinsed away from the hair without fear of re-oxidation (the molecules re-expanding). When Colour Undo™️ is applied, the colour molecules shrink and the cuticle is lifted, ready for the molecules to be rinsed away. Once the hair has been rinsed and buffered, the colour molecules are easily rinsed out from the hair leaving your previous hair colour. Colour Undo™️ offers an easy & effective way to remove hair colour with a bleach-free and ammonia-free process allowing you to safely re-colour hair the same day”.

Whilst waiting for product to arrive so I can test this innovation myself, I have to say that I’m genuinely excited about the before and afters seen so far. Colour Undo™️ creates a perfect backdrop for the clients next colour service, and the condition of the hair is improved after the product application. Like any ‘removal’ product the finished result is determined by the previous colour applications, but unlike most other forms of colour remover, Colour Undo™️ is not aggressive, stripping, damaging to the hair structure, is easy to apply and gives hairdressers greater freedom to change client’s hair colour whenever they want to.

As regular readers of this blog will know, I am not easily swayed by fancy gimmicks and bold statements, having been in this industry for 45+ years I have seen many a product come and go, but when I see something that offers the hairdressing world something new and exciting to add to their toolbox then I am compelled to share the information.
