2nd December 2025
Part 1: 2025, what an incredible year I’ve had, not only have I been lucky enough to receive lots of fabulous Salon Professional products for myself and the review team on this blog to use, but I have also met some truly inspirational people who have the same desire as I have, that is, to help grow salon business.
So where do I start in looking back at the last 12 months? Well the easiest way is to do it alphabetically.
I have had notifications from other companies about inclusion in this blogpost, but in the interest of space I have decided to do a ‘what’s coming in 2026’ blog at a later date.
In the interest of time and space, each product will feature a snippet of feedback from the reviewers and a direct link to their relevant website.
Alfa Italia: I was introduced to this brand by the guys at Alan Howard, it’s stylish, sexy and affordable. The quality of the equipment is second to none and the performance is exceptional. Cheryle, one of the fussier reviewers (in the best possible way) says this: “I love the Viaggio travel set, aside from the ultra-cuteness of it, the dryer and straighteners pack an absolute punch, oh and the travel bag they come on is gorgeous as well”. https://www.alfaitaliapro.com
Colour Undo: Without doubt Colour Undo is a miracle product. It has been developed to remove old unwanted oxidised pigment from hair leaving behind its last oxidised state without affecting natural hair colour. The product is incredibly gentle, and colour can be applied straight after the removal service. https://colourundo.com
Davines: This brand comes in and out of my world every now and again, and it never fails to impress. The company credentials are amazing, as is the performance of the products. I’m always in awe of each launch Davines makes and how they capture the zeitgeist without sacrificing their brand ethos: Davines
Esla Italy: The style, the feel, the unique aspects of Esla Italy have appealed to me since I was first sent products from Darren, the UK distributor. The look of the brand is fabulous, but more than that the products work incredibly well; and seriously they have some of the best scalp actives I have ever used. If a brand was every created to be aesthetically pleasing whilst delivering amazing results, it is, without doubt Esla Italy https://elevatesalonpartners.co.uk
Fabriq: I was recently sent (by Jez Barnett) the newest launch from Fabriq, Ultimate Oil is a luxurious, ultra-light blend of seven premium oils designed to nourish, protect, and perfect every strand of hair, and the reviews which are just starting to land on my desk, well, suffice to say, they are very impressive. Four Reasons: Bio-Molecule Repair is a range that the reviewers who were fortunate enough to use it, absolutely loved it. The products protect, repair, and maintain the function of the cuticle layer and repair internal damages of the hair so that the difference can be felt and seen, and Dawn, a regular reviewer said “These products make my hair feel like no other I have used, the effect is instant and transforms dry, dull, coloured hair into shiny, healthy and smooth hair. They are fantastic”. Four Reasons
Glowwa: A product that is having an amazing impact across the hairdressing fraternity. I was lucky enough to be given a 3 month supply of Hair Food whilst the brand was being launched to Cheynes in Edinburgh. The feedback I have read on socials has been phenomenal. Having just started using it myself, all I can say is – Watch this space. Glowwa
Olaplex: An interesting one as Olaplex, known for its hair bond building properties have ventured into scalp products with No 0.5 Scalp Longevity Treatment, and I was lucky enough to get my hands on it. This is a fabulous soothing treatment that helps protect the scalp. As scalp actives are big news right now, this has come along at the perfect moment in time. Olaplex
Shed: Salon Hair Every Day, what’s not to love about such a clever name for a brand. SHED from Alan Howard is a fully rounded range of products and the reviewers on this blog loved the styling products as they deliver excellent results and are affordable as well. With a comprehensive portfolio, from shampoos and conditioners through to finishing products this really is a range that suits every client’s needs. SHED
Whosewood: This electrical goods brand has just landed on my doorstep, comprising of a dryer and two straighteners. Whosewood say: “Exclusively tailored for the modern hair professional, Whosewood have developed next generation technologies to provide the highest power and best performance available.
With brand-new, game-changing practical features such as the luxurious Couture travel bag system and ONEcord interchangeable rotating cables, it’s a brand to keep your eye on! Watch this space! Whosewood
