For the past few weeks, family and friends have been testing out the uber stylish electrical range Whosewood couture, a hairdryer and two different sized straighteners.
This beautiful collection of equipment has been primarily designed for hairdressers, but, in the interest of reviewing, the kit was duly sent out to reviewers who are familiar with product and equipment so as to get their thoughts.
One hairdresser who did use Whosewood was my other half, an ex hairdresser; he styled a friends’ hair who was visiting. He said “the lightweight dryer is very easy to use once you get to grips with the new way of accessing heat and power buttons, which actually is very cool! I was very impressed with the shine and feel of the hair as I had used minimal styling product to see what the result would be like. The straightener (styler) was also very easy to use and delivered an exceptional result at a low temperature which further enhanced the shine factor. I love the packaging, very stylish and great for any hairdresser involved with session work or those who like to keep their own equipment in tip top condition. The interchangeable cord is genius, and it’s a great length as well. Overall, I would say these are some of the most impressive pieces of equipment I have ever used, and over my 34+ years of hairdressing, I have used a lot”.

Easy to use and they pack a real punch which is great for me as I have so much hair that it takes ages to style it. “This dryer is so much better than the one I use, I’m not allowed to say the name (Emil said) but it’s a very well known brand that is in the same price range as the Whosewood digital dryer it is a very easy dryer to use and I get great results from it, the diffusers are brilliant, I have used both to create volume and enhance my curls, both do a great job”.
“Fab, what more can I say, the dryer and styler are so easy to use, the cord that can be used with both is an amazing idea, it makes everything so much easier, just unclick, click and away you go. I wouldn’t necessarily need the pouches, even though they are very smart, but everything else would definitely inspire me to purchase this products when I need new. Really like the magnetic attachment idea as well”.
“I felt like a pro when I used the dryer and wide styler on my hair, it might be my imagination but my hair seemed to respond to there equipment and it appeared to be shinier and softer, maybe it was my imagination, but my bf told me my hair looked great when we were going out, and he never does that!”
‘Thanks Emil, these Whosewood stylers are brilliant. I leave my hair dry naturally and then normally take my ordinary straighteners through it to just gently smooth everything out. These are as good as, if not better than the ones I use as there plates seem to glide through easier and the temperature control was very easy to use”.
Emil says: I think Whosewood would be a perfect addition to any salon who advocates professional products, service and equipment in their environment!
