In case you hadn’t noticed, and if you haven’t, where have you been hiding? Christmas shopping is in full swing. Everywhere where there is product to buy, be it a supermarket, an independent store, a department store, a chemist 🤬, online, everywhere has embraced the festive spirit.
The question is, has your salon done the same? Have you decorated a small area of your retail area with  some representation of Christmas and are you showcasing your festive gift sets yet? If not, it’s time to do it.
There is, in reality, only one pay check left before Christmas and your clients are thinking ahead and shopping now to help stretch out the budget for family and friends gifts.

What do you need to do?
- Get your festive gift sets out and in a prominent position.
- Dress the area so that it has a (minimal) festive feel.
- Hold a team meeting and get everyone on board with talking Christmas, whether they think it’s too early or not, because it really isn’t too early!
- Start sharing images and messages across all your socials.
- Write a blog about all the gifts you have available.
- If you have an e-commerce platform, populate it with the items and share the links on your socials.
- Offer a gift wrap service.
- Look for impulse purchases you could retail, brushes, bobbles etc.
- Set up a team incentive for a celebratory night out after the festive season is over.
- Don’t think about doing it, DO IT!
- And if you really want to enjoy a successful festive season, look at creating special offers, dare I say, 3 for the price of 2. As the old saying goes, if you can’t beat them, join them!!
