I called on one of my reviewers, who was lucky enough to receive a pair of Balmain Paris Hair Couture straighteners late last year and asked for a full review…. here’s what Jackie has to say:
“Lucky me, my name was pulled out of the hat and I received an amazing pair of straighteners from mrH. I was dumbstruck when they arrived, firstly because the packaging was so gorgeous, I felt like I’d won the (hairdressing equipment) lottery. Secondly because I know the irons retail at almost £200 so I felt very lucky indeed.
‘Any new product can look amazing, but the proof for me is always in how anything actually works, so I was a little sceptical about cordless straighteners. My worry soon faded as these are some of the best irons I’ve ever used. So easy to work with, having no cable is a dream, a real treat as nothing gets in the way as I use them on my clients or on my own hair when I’m doing it myself. Lots of clients asked about them, that doesn’t usually happen when I’m using equipment.
‘The temperature controls are easy to manage, the plates glide through hair, the effect is as you would want from a straightener and the shine is lovely. I am impressed and use them daily now. It doesn’t matter what effect I’m after, smooth, wavy or curled, I can achieve them all with these titanium irons. I am also impressed with how long they stay active before I need to recharge, I can get 3 or 4 clients hair sorted quite easily.
