Regular readers of this blog will know that Davines is one of the brands that I really admire. It’s ethical and sustainability credentials are impeccable, the product is sublime and the marketing is quirky and completely different to anything else out there.
It’s one of the few brands I would recommend salons to stock without any hesitation. Regular readers will know I am currently obsessing about Pasta and Love, the range encompasses products suitable for shaving and beard care as well as a rather fantastic hair beard and body wash which has become a firm favourite of mine alongside the styling paste which I am also really pleased with…. it’s got enough hold and texture without it feeling like product is coating my hair!
Recently I was sent a box full of Davines goodies which have been shipped out to reviewers for their feedback. It will take a while for everything to come through but here’s some of the comments so far:
Oi: This range is designed too give extraordinary shine to any hair type and adds softness at the same time.
Jane says: “The Oi shampoo, Oi all in one milk and Oi oil are sensational. I have been using all three products for a couple of months now and the effect they have on my hair is wonderful. My hair is prone to drying out but I find that the combination of shampoo, milk and oil (strange as that might sound) to be just the right amount of nourishment to keep it healthy and shiny. I’m particularly taken with the milk, it seems to do so much, moisturises, detangles, eliminates frizz and protects against heat. I have never tried Davines before but I am definitely a convert now”.
Dave has been using Purifying Shampoo and Solu Salt Scrub, here’s his comments:
“My hair and scalp are problematic, first issue, I wear a hard hat every day at work so my scalp is always prone to being flaky and itchy. Second issue, when I am going out I use a lot of styling products to control my very curly hair, if I don’t use anything it can be like a big ball of candy floss. The shampoo Emil gave me is great, it is thorough without being harsh, it removes any flakiness and leaves my scalp feeling clean and healthy. The salt scrub is very good too. I’ve never tried anything like this before and I definitely notice a difference when I use it after having tons of product in my hair. The feeling of clean hair is obvious, there is no sticky or oily residue left from any styling products, this really works. All in all I am very happy with the Davines products I have been using. Thanks!”
