It’s been a while since there has been a product review. This is due to lockdown and the lack of new products to review.
However, Margaret, a new reviewer who was given some products last year has sent through some pics and thoughts on products she has used, some given from this blog, some that she had herself.
Margaret has incredibly thick hair that needs controlling, and she is a fan of smoothing treatments.
Here’s her thoughts:

(above): “After having a smoothing treatment this is the result from using OGX shampoo and conditioner, purchased in a chemist, the result is good, but thats more due to the newness of the smoothing treatment than the products. Straighteners helped eliminate the fluffiness in the blow dryed result”.
(above): “6 weeks after the smoothing treatment and this result was achieved with Goldwell Kerasilk shampoo and mask. I really like the feel of these products, the effect is instantaneous, no mean feat when to comes to my hair! The result is much smoother, shinier and well conditioned hair, easier to blow-dry and I get a really smooth finish, and the straightening further enhanced the smoothness, shine and feel of the hair”.
(above): “This result was achieved with Olapex. Whilst the blow dryed result looks rough round the edges, when straightened it had an immediate effect on the finished look, super smooth and shiny. I like the result but it doesn’t come close to Kerasilk“.
(above): “Having not been coloured or had a smoothing treatment for a while, my hair still looks and feels very good when using Goldwell Kerasilk shampoo and conditioner. the products definitely suit my coarse textured hair and make styling it much easier, especially as it is now in need of another smoothing treatment. Out of all the care products I have used on my hair, I think Kerasilk suits me best, The quality of the ingredients is obvious when you use them, the shampoo is luxurious, the conditioner is very nourishing and the mask is super rich and moisturising. I am, overall, delighted with the results”.
