Now this really is something new for this blog, Indola Act Now a range that is free-from sulfate surfactants, silicones, parabens, mineral oils & artificial colourants, 100% vegan, sustainable, high performance hair care.
Fortunately we have vegan friends who were THRILLED to be given the opportunity to test and try out a professional range of haircare products.
Helen was given Act Now Repair shampoo and mask, here’s her review:
“My hair is long, coloured, and very straight. I like to wear it with waves and curls but find it challenging sometimes to achieve what my hairdresser seems to do so effortlessly. Perhaps it’s the products I use that weigh it down.
I know as soon as I use a product if it’s going to work or not! Being vegan the challenge is finding something that suits my lifestyle but performs well. Up to now I’d say I haven’t managed to find anything. I’ve been using ‘Act Now’ for the last few weeks. First of all, I like the vibe of this brand, it’s youthful and fresh and very caring to the environment as well as being vegan friendly. That, of course, already makes it a pleasing product range. The fragrances are very nice, not too overpowering and definitely not synthetic smelling, another good point.
But most importantly, the products are very good indeed. My hair feels really clean and really conditioned, and, no residue at all! When I blow-dry and style my hair I manage a good job of the waves and curls; not as good as my hairdresser, but good enough for day to day wearability. I’m hooked! Thanks Emil and Indola for introducing me to such cool, effective haircare”.
Julia was given Moisture Shampoo, here’s her thoughts:
“My hair is high maintenance, it needs lots and lots of moisturising otherwise it’s just a dry, frizz bomb. I use lots of different products and always try to look after it as best as I can, that’s why I love being part of Emil’s review panel, I get to try lots of different products.
Recently though, like many of my friends I have been taking a much more active role in what I do to help the planet. In my own small way I recycle as much as I possibly can and encourage my family to do the same. Act Now makes me feel better about what I am using because of its ‘caring’ credentials.
My daughter is vegetarian so she was keen to try Moisture Shampoo as well. Between the two of us we are won over! The product is light and gentle but packs a real punch when it comes to moisturization. I know this because the conditioner I’m currently using which is not ‘Act Now’… I can use a very small amount of because most of the work has been done by the shampooing, it’s excellent. My daughter agrees, she has very long hair and finds the product enough to use to be able to detangle with her brush before applying a leave in spray conditioner. We are both very impressed”.
Pauline, a brand new reviewer was given Colour Shampoo, here’s her review:
“I’m so excited, my very first product for review for this website, and it’s a great one to start with. The colours I go for in my hair tend to be bright coppers and reds, depending on how I’m feeling when I visit my hairdresser. At the moment it’s a mix of bright copper and blonde babylights. Literally, I had just had it down when the Act Now Color Shampoo landed on my doorstep. 4 weeks later and what can I say, almost no fade whatsoever, none that I can see anyway! The copper is still as vibrant as the day I had it done and the babylights are still a clean, sandy blonde. This product is so different from anything I have used before, I normally shop for hair products in the chemists and have never used a professional salon range before, so now I can see what all the fuss is about. I really like all the philosophy and caring elements of this brand and will definitely be looking out for it when I need to purchase next time, unless of course Emil comes to my rescue”
John has been using Act Now Shine Wax, here’s what he has to say:
“I have got thick, coarse hair that sprouts out of my head, and if I’m not careful it can look like an explosion of fuzz, so I always have to apply styling products when I wash it. I don’t use any specific shampoo and never put conditioner on it, but I do buy lots of grooming products. Act Now Shine Wax really suits my hair. It’s waxy enough to hold it down and keep the shape and texture, but it’s also easy to play around with it and restyle if I need to do so. The shine is great, just the right amount, not too glossy, it creates a really healthy look to my hair, which is no mean feat at all. I’m not easily swayed with haircare but I like what Act Now stands for as a brand and I like the effect the product has on my hair, so well done Indola!”
