The first batch of reviews for Milkshake haircare were very positive, and now the reviewers have had chance to use Milkshake and Lifestyling, here’s what they had to say…
Everyone who has used this new range (to this blog) has unanimously given the products the thumbs up! Hairdressers who have pushed the product to the extreme, non hairdressers who like to experiment with their hair and who recognise good products from indifferent have all been playing with the brand and here’s a summary of what they had to say.
Julie used MilkShake Coloured Whipped Cream (Violet) on her lightened hair
“I love what this product does to my hair, it’s just enough violet to make my blonde hair look like I have been to the salon. The tone is fresh and bright, and I’m super impressed with the fact that Whipped Cream doesn’t turn my hair purple like some shampoo and conditioner products that have been tried before. The condition feels great and the shine is lovely. A great product, thank you”.
Sue has been using Whipped Cream conditioner on her fine, flyaway hair
“I’m wary of conditioners, but know they have to be used because my hair is coloured and fine and I like it to look healthy at all times. Sometimes when I blow dry it it can look unhealthy if I don’t use a conditioner, but then sometimes it looks flat and lifeless because the products weighs it down. Not with Whipped cream, it’s light and airy and feels really good when I use it, which I do all the time now! My hair has volume and body, and shine and the style looks really good, even when I blow dry it myself. I am incredibly impressed with this product and will be using it from now on”.

“Never heard of Lifestyling before Emil gave me this product, Smoothing Cream! I’d seen Milkshake before, but this is new to me and I am impressed. The product disperses through the hair really easily, has a great fragrance; my clients all commented! Blowdrying with Smoothing Cream is so easy, the brush glides through the hair and the products really encourages the hair to smooth down with ease. I would like to try more products and I have spoken to my boss about them already because when one product is this good, what must the rest be like?”.

“I tend to shy away from finishing spray and serums because I am a fan of ‘natural shine’. Perhaps I’ve misjudged the effect the products can have, or maybe it’s just that Let It Shine is so good. The shine on my clients curly hair is amazing, it’s not an artificial looking shine, more a really healthy glow to the hair. And on blondes and multi toned colours the effect is the same, a really healthy looking shine. And one thing I really like is the fact that the product doesn’t feel like there is anything on the hair. As one of my clients put it, “That’s absolutely gorgeous” and I can’t dispute that”.
I have been using Freehand Paste on my own hair
As most followers of this blog know, I don’t have much hair and what I have tends to be problematic when it comes to styling products. However I have been using Freehand Paste and have to say I’m quite enjoying the experience of having hair that holds its shape, doesn’t feel tacky and remains pliable and flexible throughout the day. Of course when hair is as short as mine is it should easy to keep the shape looking relatively okay, but for me, most products have a detrimental effect and make my lacklustre locks limp and fluffy. Freehand doesn’t do that, it keeps it looking sharp and in place! Well Done Lifestyling!!”.
Jo has been using Milkshake Leave In Conditioner
“Lovely. What a pleasant, lightweight conditioning products Leave In Conditioner is. My hair feels conditioned but there’s no residue of anything that I can feel. This conditioner has no weight to it at all so my hair is full of body and life, I really love it. It works perfectly as my every day conditioner and I’ve also used it to spritz through my hair before refreshing my blow-dry. Very good, very good indeed!”.
