The reviews for Milkshake are starting to come in and so far so good.
June, a regular reviewer and a girl who knows her haircare, knows what she likes and what works on her hair, was given Moisture Plus shampoo and whipped cream.
Here’s what she said:
“On the first day I used the Milkshake products three people stopped me and asked if I’d had my hair done that morning. The products felt very light on my hair and whilst I was dubious at first about using a ‘whipped cream’ as I was scared it would make my hair feel tacky, like old fashioned mousse products used to do, but I was needy have worried, it feels amazing. The shampoo is very luxurious and gives my hair enough nourishment for it to feel revitalised and refreshed. The whipped cream spreads very easily, completely detangles, and my hair just feels great. I wasn’t familiar with Milkshake before Emil gave me them to try, but they are on my haircare radar now! However, a purchase might be a while away as what I have definitely noticed is how a little goes a long way. Thank you, these two products are just perfect for my coloured hair”.
Note from Emil: June looks after her hair, she always has done and the products she uses she chooses carefully. She is also very good at blowdrying her hair!
Pam was given Moisture Plus conditioner and Lifestyling Liquid Styler. To say Pam has a ‘thick head of hair’ is an understatement, however she is a master of blow-drying and can make her hair look as good as if she had been to the salon.
Here’s what she had to say:
“I have used these products a few times now. The first time, I didn’t use enough conditioner through my hair so I had to add more which was too probably too much. Now I spend longer working the product through my hair with massage, and it works great. The styling lotion, I wasn’t expecting the consistency to be as runny as it was and initially used too much the first time, but now I’ve mastered how much to apply, I use less and the effect is much better.
My hair looks fuller but I have found the style doesn’t stay longer. (Could be because I blast my hair with dryer then style with hot brush)
Note from Emil: Yes Pam, this is probably why you are not getting the full effects of the product, however your blow-dry, below looks fabulous!
Note from Emil 2: Pam is a consummate professional when it comes to styling her own hair, as the pic shows, it looks like she just stepped out of a salon!
The fragrance is fabulous, the packaging is good and easy to use. Overall, I like what Milkshake does to my hair, thanks for letting me review them.
Ruth was given Silver Shine shampoo and conditioner. Like many clients, Ruth decided to grow her colour out during lockdown and is now 100% white naturally, having no blonde tones left from her previous colourants.
Here’s what Ruth had to say:
“The first time I used these Milkshake silver shine products I had two of my clients comment on and admire my hair, which is obviously a good sign. I really like the consistency of both products, the fragrance is lovey and the effect it has on my hair is really good. I have used violet or silver shampoos for a long time now to keep my, long gone, blonde colour looking clean, and since I went 100% natural I have avoided them in case they made my hair look to lilac, like Mrs Slocombe!
So when Emil gave me these products that are for ‘grey’ hair I was delighted! I do like my natural colour to look cool and have a very pale silvery hue to it, and these products absolutely deliver the goods! Im delighted with the results and will continue to use Milkshake from now on”
Note from Emil: Ruth had previously told me she wasn’t a fan of selfies, and also wasn’t very good at taking them, however I think the pic looks great, sultry, windswept and great hair!
