REWRITING THE STANDARDS OF GROOMING

Fueled by the knowledge and artistry from leading barbers, STMNT is a unique brand that goes beyond the product, this is a brand with purpose. A collective that respects people that have bold, authentic statements to make. People that stand up for what they believe in. This is a community that honors craftsmanship and strives to do better.

WOW, that’s a bold statement to open up any blogpost, let alone a website dedicated to products. But thats what the team at STMNT Grooming Goods opted for and it shows a belief and a passion for the brand they have created.

I was fascinated by this brand when it landed on my doorstep, why? Because I don’t often get to review products myself as they mostly go out to the review panel. But after reviewing the sublime and gorgeous Balmain Homme recently I was interested to give this edgy, raw, barber focussed range a try for my self.

I am very impressed, and here’s why!

All-In-One-Cleanser: “Regular readers know I look after my receding hair with great care and tend to use specialised shampoos to help with the maintenance of both hair and scalp. However, in the interest of learning, I tried STMNT all-in-one on both my body and hair. The tech info states all-in-one to be for clean hair, beard, body, face and hands, it’s formulated with activated charcoal and menthol, free from sulfates (SLS*) and silicone oils and has a super lightweight formula, and guess what, it’s rathe lovely! I really like how the charcoal gives thats sense of a real deep clean all over, and the menthol makes my scalp feel refreshed and tingly. All-in-one is an excellent all rounder and great for when you need that zing of refreshing sensations first thing in the morning”  .

Shampoo and Conditioner: “I don’t often use conditioner, I always feel my hair is too short to warrant applying it, but in the name of reviewing I have used the Shampoo & Conditioner together each time they have been used, and, actually, I’ve been doing myself an injustice for years as the conditioning aspect really makes a difference. The fact that these two products both contain charcoal and menthol (like all-in-one) makes the effect feel great, really clean, deep cleansed and extra fresh each time. I never thought I would say it, but, my haircare regime has been altered for good, and conditioner is now an integral part of my every day routine”

Beard Oil: “My beard is never what you would, or could call a full grown masterpiece, it’s more of a stubble that gets too long and becomes itchy before I have to trim it down. However, I recently discovered the benefits of using an oil to smooth and reduce itchiness, and STMNT beard oil does just that.

Signature scent: Citrus with incense and wood undertones

The fragrance of this oil is sensational, it’s church-like, because of the incense, and if like me, you like that earthy, musky, woody smell then this is definitely for you. Alongside that it adds a softness to the beard and skin, and all in all, although I have not use this product very often, I really like it, as in REALLY like it”.

Wax Powder: ‘Regular readers know I’m a tad fussy when it comes to styling and grooming products as there have only ever been a couple of ranges that have offered something to suit my fine, flyaway locks, so wax powder was always going to be the test for me in reviewing STMNT.  As a side-note it’s worth pointing out that I have recently took the bold step of having my hair cut even shorter than normal as it felt like the time was right to do so, the ‘loss’ is still occurring, slowly slowly and I wanted to take a step closer to having a really close cut style. But, I’m not at that point yet and I still need to do something to keep the shape looking okay, so wax powder has been given the task for the last few weeks. I like the fact that this is neither a wax not a powder, it’s like the best bits of both and as such gives my hair enough hold to maintain its shape without looking dusty or greasy, a real revelation. Lockdown weight gain and a shyness prevent a selfie to show you being added to the post”.

Overall, this fabulous range of products gets a huge thumbs up from me! I’m mightily impressed!
