Christophe Robin Cleansing Purifying Scrub and Detangling Gelee
Now here was a challenge for mrH, how do you find someone who will review products that go completely against the norm? A shampoo that’s a scrub with sea salt and a conditioner that’s a gelee?
I put these products into the safe hands of Mary, a trusted hairdresser friend, here is what she had to say.
“Interestingly enough, when mrH gave me these two products I had just been reading about a different company launching something similar, so I was keen to see what these new innovations would do.
Cleansing Purifying Scrub is incredible, my clients all loved the detox sensation and how fresh and clean their scalps felt afterwards. Clients who had their hair coloured commented that the effect after the colour had been removed was very soothing and fresh. I personally like the fact that the colour isn’t affected by the product but the hair and scalp feel brilliant after use. One client who suffers with an oily scalp has since gone and ordered the product online saying it’s the best ‘shampoo’ she has ever used to help control her oiliness.
The gelee is unusual. I tend to go for creamy conditioning products and always like to work the moisturising agents into the hair with my hands, so applying a gelee at first felt different to what I am familiar with. But the effect of gelee demelante is immediate, the detangling is effortless and the feel of the hair is superb. All of the clients I used it on were impressed with how their hair responded to the product. Lots also commented on how good their scalps felt afterwards.
These Christophe Robin products are quite expensive, but they are highly concentrated and have some beautiful ingredients in them, the fragrance is gorgeous and the results really do speak for themselves”.
