Regular readers will have read many a blog post over the years about my ongoing hair loss challenges. I started losing my hair at 29…. slowly slowly, but it was enough to make me want to do something about it. For the last 31 years I have used a wide range of hair loss specific products. I never waiver from them and am absolutely convinced that without sticking to a diagnostic and prescriptive approach to my daily routine that I would be bald by now.

For a long time I have not been a blow dry kinda guy, I prefer to towel dry what hair I have and leave it to dry naturally. I do wear styling product (usually Balmain Hair UK Salt Spray) and as long as the visual aspect (as seen above) looks good I’m happy to live with what I have. BTW the pic above, taken today is me in desperate need of a hair cut, but I’m attempting to grow the sides a bit to have a shape change …. that should be fun!

From an overhead view I can see that the crown is more or less the same as it has been for a long time now, although I notice that I’m (at last) starting to go grey. My hope is that I go grey before I go bald, fingers crossed.

This view is the one I struggle with, that flimsy, fine, comb-over look doesn’t sit comfortably with me, but, it is in need of a haircut as it doesn’t usually look as drastically combed over as this.

BUT…. there is a difference to the amount of hair here, there is actually new growth and there’s more ‘oomph’ to the hair than normal.

This is my current regime, L’Oreal professionalisms Serioxyl shampoo and gelee, and Mark Blake Trichology Tablets.

I’m very familiar with the L’Oreal products as they are, for me, one of the best ranges I’ve used, alongside Goldwell and Kerastase.

Mark Blake Trichology Tablets are a new addition and it’s these that I am attributing the change to. I have tried these hair health tablets a few years ago and didn’t really take much notice of the effect. This time, the difference in the structure and body is absolutely noticeable. Having used them for 4 weeks, my hair feels stronger, more resilient and , dare I say it, thicker. I have also noticed an increase in the growth of my nails … perhaps that’s just me imagining it but!!

The tablets are chewable and raspberry flavoured. I take two every morning with my regular vitamin tablets, they have become an integral part of my daily routine and I would recommend anyone and everyone to try them out as they are without doubt improving the overall state of my hair.

Drawing on personal experiences, salon business and the challenges sales people face in their daily life,
I’ve created a story that can be used in salons and on sales calls that will help overcome the challenges faced in the world of retailing.
