I normally stay away from posting quotes. It’s not that I don’t like them, it’s just that everyone seems to do it and sometimes social platforms are flooded with ‘feel good’ quotes that have been  copied and pasted a million times.

But ever since we entered lockdown, I have, for some unknown reason taken to posting (all my own work) quotes, and some of them like the one below have proven to be quite popular.

As is the case when something strikes the right chord it makes me … like it does everyone else, try and do something bigger and better and create a post that will prove even more popular.

It doesn’t work like that though and instead of trying too hard and falling in to the trap of becoming repetitive and boring, I have decided to stop trying to be all smart and clever and go back to doing what I normally do, that is, post random things as and when they take my fancy.

That doesn’t mean to say I’m giving up on quotes because it is quite obvious for all to see that the right message, be it fun, flippant or serious has a place in our social world, probably more so now that every before as we use Facebook and instagram to communicate more than ever.

If you want to see the quotes I have put together over the last six weeks you can find them all on my Facebook page @theemilmcmahon and if there are nay you particularly like, feel free to take them and use them …. so long as you tag me in.

Keep sharing your own quotes, or any that you have plagiarised, stolen or borrowed … your followers like to see them.

Drawing on personal experiences, salon business and the challenges sales people face in their daily life,
I’ve created a story that can be used in salons and on sales calls that will help overcome the challenges faced in the world of retailing.
